- Winter Park
Ride the beautiful forested trails along the river and through meadows around Winter Park. There are many trails that take you in among the trees with wildlife feeding, birds flitting from branch to branch, and fresh air abound. - Fraser and Tabernash
Ride by mountain streams and through the pine forests. Spot some beaver ponds and witness the wildlife, such as deer, moose and elk, wandering in the woods. The Fraser Valley offers some great horseback riding locations. - Granby
A multitude of trails exist around Granby, Colorado, just a short drive from Winter Park. Within the Indian Peaks Wilderness you’ll find many, including the Columbine Lake Trail, taking you a spruce forest, over boulders and through meadows. A more difficult trail is the Caribou Pass Trail, 4.4 miles one way. Late July offers incredible wildflower displays. - Grand Lake
If you head north from Winter Park and Granby, you’ll come to Rocky Mountain National Park, filled with horse trails that provide scenic lake and mountain views.
